Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a completely computerized test for assessing the language proficiency of non-native English speakers who are aspiring to study abroad or seeking immigration. It is conducted by the Pearson PCL group. The result is declared in 5 working days after the exam is held which aptly suits a student’s needs. PTE focuses mainly on day-to-day English rather than high-level English language and tests a student on his/her ability to effectively understand the language as spoken daily. The whole test is done in a single session and includes all four skills- Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing. The speaking part of the exam is done on the computer and your voice is recorded and sent for marking. The exam is recognized by a number of universities across the world, even the ministries of education and employers accept it as a proof of English language proficiency. PTE is conducted over 360 days at more than 250 centers in 51 countries.
The multi-level grading system ensures a better understanding of the student’s proficiency in the English language.
