Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore is  Offering Various PG Course Programmes for this academic year. The course are like M Tech/M Des, M Mgt, M Tech(for Sponsored Candidates). All the information about the course, Eligibility are given below. Candidates can also fill the admission form in the link which are mention below-




These courses are named as Master of  Technology (M Tech), Master of Design (M Des) and Master of Management (M Mgt). There only 400 seats are available for all these programmes.  The Institute admits about 400 students every year for its course programmes.  The number includes about 50 sponsored candidates from the Defence Services, Defence Research and Development Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, NTRO, BARC, NAL, CPRI, KSRTC, BMTC, PWD and BDA and faculty members from engineering colleges under the Quality Improvement Programme. Candidates can choose to apply to a maximum of 5 disciplines from the M Tech and M Des programmes. Candidates with qualifications in BE / B Tech or an equivalent degree should have qualified and hold valid GATE score card as on 1st August 2020.

For M Des-

Candidates with qualifications in BE/ B Tech/ B Des/ B Arch degrees, should have qualified in GATE or CEED and hold a valid score card as on 1st August 2020.

6. Electronic Systems Engineering (ED)

7. Computational and Data Science (CP)

8. Climate Science (CL)

9. Earth Science (ER)

10. Electrical Engineering (EE)

11. Microelectronics and VLSI Design (MV)

12.  Chemical Engineering (CH)

13. Mechanical Engineering (ME)

14. Communication & Networks (CN)

15. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

16. Signal Processing (SP)

17. Nano Science and Engineering (NE)

18. Smart Manufacturing(SM)

Eligibility For those courses:

(a) Graduate or Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology or it's equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for the M Des programme only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Science including Physics with Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Computer Applications/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences as applicable to individual departments offering M Tech programmes.

(e) All the candidates should qualify in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2018 /2019 / 2020) for  M Tech, GATE or in the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED 2020) for M Des, and GATE 2018/2019/2020 or CAT 2020/GMAT  for M Mgt, and possess the valid score as on 1st August 2020.

Steps to Apply:-

1. Registration:

visit the official website and starts the registration by providing the Name, Password, date of birth, email, etc

2. Fill the Application form:

Again enter the registration number and password. then fill the application by providing some necessary details like educational details, parent details, 

3. Make payments:

Decide on the mode of payment you prefer towards the application fee. Mode of payment available – Online – Net banking, Visa Card/Master Card, Debit/Credit Cards.   The Application fee is Rs 800 for GN/EWS/OBC & Rs.400 for SC/ST/PwD candidates, bank charges are extra.

4. Upload documents:

Upload the necessary documents asked during filling the form. upload the recent passport size photo and signature. candidates belonging to the reserved category also to upload the cast certificates.
