Introduction to Hardware Technology: Eligibility and Syllabus

Hardware Technology is the operation of different physical elements related to computer systems such as developing, testing, designing, and producing computer systems. The hardware technology is limited not just to the designing and development of computer or embedded systems, but also to integrate the different devices for the functioning of the entire business system. With the emerging technology and progresses in R&D, the range of hardware technology has been extended to comprise hardware devices enabling embedded software engineering in non-computer devices.

Hardware Technology that needs to be properly configured for any system to run at optimal efficiency. Its primary focus is on the field of research, designing, development, analysis, and testing of computer components. The hardware technology comprises analysis of system requirements, assigning appropriate hardware to meet requirements, analysis of prototypes based on theoretical models and computer-generated simulations, maintenance and analysis of system capacities & performances, and training & supporting system designers.

Eligibility:

As the stature of the technology firm rises, so do the minimum requirements. Mentioned below are the basic eligibility criteria for Hardware Technology:

  • For pursuing a Diploma degree, one needs to complete 10+2 with at least 55% aggregate marks from any recognized board. 
  • For PG Diploma and PG degree, one must attain a Bachelor’s degree in Hardware technology with at least 50% marks in graduation.

The syllabus of Hardware Technology varies from college to college but mentioned below are some of the common subjects of study:
