Since the world has become digitized, the importance of cyber security has grown manifold. No one can overlook the cybercrime and data breaches that happen globally. A cyber criminal or a hacker can monetize by stealing identities of individuals, steal their health insurances and other creative methods of making money by duping the common people. As a result, everyone is a target. As a result of this growing threat, there is a growing demand for cyber security analysts who will be providing cyber security for the common people and also big organizations. 

What are the duties of a cyber security analyst?

The cyber security analysts are also known as information security analysts. They have the duty of planning and carrying out the security measures for protecting the computer networks. They keep a tab about the threats posed by the cyber criminals on the networks of the company and also look for security breaches.

The cyber security analysts install firewall and different encryption tools, research the IT trends, reports breaches, educate the employees about security and find potential vulnerabilities in the system.

They also have the duty of planning for potential trouble and make contingency plans in case of cyber attacks. They have to be well informed about the weapons of the cyber criminals so that they can prepare the best defence.
