Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a private and the youngest deemed-university located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The University has seven campuses all over India with 16 constituent schools across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers admission to 120 different UG, PG, and doctoral programs (Ph.D.).

Amrita Scholarship Schemes:

Amrita Vishwa Veedyapeetham provides some scholarships to the UG, PG & Ph.D. students. The details as follows;

B.Tech Scholarships:

  • 10% of the B.Tech students can get scholarships.
  • Some of the top rankers in Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering [AEEE] will get some amount of the scholarships based on their Rank.
  • 90% Tuition fee waiver is given to the first 3 rank holders of the state board and the first 10 rank holders of CBSE and ICSE will also get the 90% Tuition fee.

M.Tech Scholarships:

  • Rs. 25000 is provided to the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham M. Tech. student per semester.
  • Top scorers of GATE in the M.Tech course will avail of a Scholarship of Rs. 12500 per month.
  • Ph.D. students at Amrita University will get a scholarship amount up to Rs. 25000 per month.
  • Some selected meritorious students will get Vivesvaraya Scholarship, up to Rs. 43000 per month.
  • Industry Sponsored Scholarship of up to Rs. 80000 per month will be provided to some selected students.

Placement Records:

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has its Corporate and Industry Relations Cell (CIR) that offers meaningful career-defining jobs to 95% of its students in 2019. Above 200 corporate entities participate in the campus drive every year.

During the academic period 2019, the highest CTC offered in the under engineering stream was Rs 43.3 LPA, while the average CTC was Rs 5.4 LPA. Similarly for MBA, the highest package offered was Rs 28.4 LPA and the average salary was calculated to be Rs 5.7 LPA.

Some students were offered some good internships in the leading corporate sector. The highest stipend of the internship offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was Rs. 1 LPA was offered to an engineering graduate.

The report shows that, till July 2020, 271 students have been placed in some frontline companies of the country. The average salary offered to the student was Rs. 5.7 Lakhs per annum, where the highest CTC was Rs. 52.00 Lakhs per annum. The highest Internship stipend was Rs. 80,000/- per month.
