How To Make The Choice: Job vs Studies?

There comes a point in the life of every individual when they have to choose between- job and studies. Many of you face this dilemma of choosing study or job. Everything in your life comes at a price and there are consequences that you will have to face. How you perceive the outcome will help you to judge whether the decision has been advantageous or disadvantageous for you.

Lacking motivation and concentration

Many decide to opt for work and not go for higher studies. While some feel that they might regret it later but there are chances that they might not regret it. This is because there is no guarantee that completing higher studies will help to get you a good job. Higher studies only provide you with better job opportunities but there is no certainty about finding a job. Hence, if you have already found a good job that pays well and you are satisfied with it do not think twice before accepting it. There are many people who cannot find a good job even after completing higher studies. In this scenario, work can be considered as a profitable choice.

Another benefit is that if you are not satisfied with the work, then you can again opt for higher studies. Unless you have scholarship, you will earn more by working than when you will be studying.
The important factor to be considered before making the decision is whether you are motivated to carry on with higher studies or not. If you do not feel motivated, then do not waste the money to go for higher studies. Instead work somewhere and gain some work experience.

Fairness, justice and satisfaction

Your motivation and concentration levels play a huge role if you want to pursue higher studies. If you like to study, and participate in seminars, workshops then higher studies is right for you. There are many jobs that are routine based and it is the same daily. You might be overwhelmed in the initial stages. But after some months, the enthusiasm will fade away. That happens because you will know all the routine perfectly, and hence, this will become boring.

The university on the other hand gives you great challenges and offers new things for one to learn. One needs to study for earning good grades and scholarships. Hence, you will not be disappointed. You need to work hard and at the end of the course your hard work will be rewarded with good grades.

If money is not a problem for you, then higher studies can be selected by you. If you are a good student, then you will have more free time compared to the routine at work. And moreover, after completing higher studies you will have more job opportunities opening up due to the degree that you have gained.

Money or time

This is a pivotal question- do you need money or want more time? What matters more to you? Think twice before coming up with the answer. Do you want to study and then look for good jobs? Or do you want to start early with a job? What motivates you? What is the situation of jobs in your country? Consider all these factors before making the decision.

Your choice matters the most

At the end of the day, it is your life and what you choose will matter a lot later on. If you want to start earning money early, then opt for a job. But if you want to earn a degree before hunting for a job, then pay attention to studies and work hard to get good grades.
