Delhi University has extended the application s date for the undergraduate courses. Now the students can apply till June 22, 2019. The varsity will release its admission brochure with the revised eligibility criteria and the other information today on its official website. The revised information brochure should be also up on the website by 5:00. Delhi University extended its application date after the order from the Delhi High Court.
Delhi High Court, on June 15, hearing against the varsity for effecting change in the eligibility criteria just a day before the registrations were to commence. The court also said '"Changes in the eligibility criteria have to be made in the accordance with the law,” which would require the minimum of the six months of the public notice to the public being at large. “
Given that to the application date has been extended, the date for the first cut off has also been postponed. Earlier, the Delhi University had to schedule the release of the first cutoff list on June 20, 2019.
The cut off for this year is expected to be high. In CBSE 12th exam alone, the student's count was 94,299 students, scored was more than 90 percent marks including the 17.693 students who have scored above 95 percent marks.
In 2018, the highest of the cut off for an undergraduate course was set by Shri Ram College which was 98.75% for B.A program course. The highest cutoff among the BSc. courses were for BSc. Physics (H) at Hindu College at 98% and for the course and subject the BSc Computer Science (H) respectively at SGTB Khalsa College at 98%.
