KIIT - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology was established in 1992 as an Industrial Training Institute and received the status of the university in 2004. KIIT University comprises 23 unique campuses and 1,800 faculty and researchers. Since its inception, the university has bagged several awards, ranks, and recognition. It has been accredited A Grade by NAAC and acquired the 8th position among the most reputed private universities. KIIT is the first and youngest university to be decorated with the “deemed to be university” title.

KIIT Admission:

There are several courses at UG, PG, and Research programs in various disciplines like engineering, computer science, business management, medical science, etc are offered by KIIT University. The candidates who want to apply for KIIT admission 2021, need to appear in the common entrance exam, KIITEE which is conducted by the university itself.

Eligibility Criteria:

All the aspirants, who are wishing to opt for KIITEE 2021 must satisfy all the eligibility criteria given below.

B. Tech 4 Years Candidates should secure at least 60% marks in Higher Secondary with Physics-Chemistry-Math (PCM) combination.
For Lateral Entry Courses - Candidates should have passed a 3-year diploma with a min of 60% marks.
B. Arch 4 Years Candidates should have secured at least 60% marks in Higher Secondary with Mathematics as a subject.
B. Sc 3 Years Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary in relevant subjects
BA 3 Years Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary level in any subjects
B.Com 3 Years Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary level in any subjects
B.Des 4 Years Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary level in any subjects
BFTP 3 Years Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary level in any subjects
M.Sc 2 Years Candidate must have bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
MA 2 Years The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
M. Tech 2 Years Candidate must have BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in respective branch with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
MCA 3 Years Candidate must have a bachelor degree in any discipline having Mathematics as one of the subjects in either higher secondary or graduation. At least 50% marks in graduation.
M.Com 2 Years The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Ph.D. (Engineering) 3 – 4 Years Candidates should possess Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a Master's Degree in Science.
Ph.D. (Biotechnology) 3 – 4 Years M.Tech/ME/MCA/MBA with minimum 60% marks or M.Sc./M.A/M.Com/LLM with minimum 55% marks.


KIIT Scholarship Provision:

There are some scholarship programs offered by KIIT University which help meritorious students in achieving their dreams in monetary terms. The final selection of the worthy candidates to get this scholarship is done by the selection committee.

Scholarship 1

Pradyumna Bal Memorial Scholarship:  In memory of Late Pradyumna Kishore Bal, Founder President of KIIT is donating a scholarship amount to the selected students. Every year two poor and meritorious students are picked and provided completely free education under this scholarship scheme. 

Scholarship 2

KIIT Poverty-cum-Merit Scholarship: This Scholarship is given to the poor and needy students. The scholarship amount and period are decided based on the need for the selected candidates.

KIIT Merit Scholarship: It is provided to the University Topper rankers like 1st, 2nd & 3rd students of each semester.

Scholarship 3

KIIT Merit Scholarship: The students who have topped the KIITEE exam (B.Tech & M.C.A) will avail of free education if admitted at KIIT University. KIIT University also provides some scholarship amount to the top 500 rankers of KIITEE (B.Tech.) during his/her study period at KIIT.

  • For general rank 1-100: INR 1,20,000 per annum
  • For rank 101- 500: INR 60,000 per annum
  • Toppers (Top 10) of central & state boards: INR 1,00,000 per annum
  • For all other courses KIITEE Rank holders-1: INR 60,000 per annum

Posco Scholarship: A scholarship amount has been provided by Posco India worth USD 500 to five meritorious students of KIIT University every year.

Scholarship 5

Teaching Assistantship Program: This scholarship program is for the M.Tech. students which were initiated to benefit the postgraduate students wishing to add their income while being a student and gain experience in teaching/ research.
