For conducting joint research in the field of Radioecology, Mangalore University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR).The Centre for Advanced Research in Environmental Radioactivity (CARER) at Mangalore University will conduct joint research with scientists of IGCAR on ''site-specific transfer parameters.''
This research program will be funded by IGCAR, and it will also offer research fellowships and technical assistantship.
Interested candidates with qualifications in M.Sc (physics) can send their applications for the fellowship to Principal Investigator, IGCAR-Mangalore University MoU research program, Mangalore University. Interested candidates must do it before February 5.
With financial help from the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences and the Department of Atomic Energy, the CARER has been established. The technical and scientific support will be provided by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
