Birla School of Communication, the mass communication and journalism institute under Birla Global University has been awarded as the 'Best Mass Communication Institute' in the National media conclave held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar recently. The conclave was a mega affair organised by IMC, Utkal University, and CEC. The award was presented by BJD MLA Suryanarayan Patro, and was accepted by the Head Professor of Birla School of Communication, Shiv Shankar Das in the presence of other dignitaries.

This conclave, which is considered to be one of the biggest media conclaves of Eastern India was conducted from 21st to 23rd of November, 2019. More than 150 research papers were presented during this time. The conclave was attended by leading media educators and top journalists of the country and had more than 800 delegates from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal.
