XAT known as Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level entrance exam of Management for admission into the MBA or PGDM courses across the top MBA colleges or top B-schools. It is conducted by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI) on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). It is considered as one of the toughest exam and the 2nd largest MBA entrance exam after CAT.

Here we have given you some of the preparation tips regarding XAT which you can follow for a month and surely it will increase your overall idea as well as confidence just before one month of exam.

1- Take an idea about Exam pattern:

The idea of exam pattern enhances your choosing capacity. That means you will get an idea about, in which subject you take first. Having an idea about the exam pattern will surely build your confidence and improve your preparation quality a way better.

2- Consistency:

Keep a calendar on your study table and mark every passing day to know how less time left for the exam. You must know that you do not have a single day to waste on unproductive things. If you keep taking breaks, you are sure to lose your pace of study instead of accelerating it. Make a date wise routine and finish your tasks accordingly.

3- Concentration and time management

Concentration is a very vital factor to succeed in any exam. Especially the working persons who cannot allot the major portion of their time for study should be more focused. They should study 2-4 hours in weekdays and 7-8 hours on weekends with full concentration. Every aspirant should make it a habit of studying for 2 – 2.5 hours with full focus than taking a break of 5-10 minutes and again sitting for another 1-2 hours for study.

4- Knowing the strong area:

One need not be equally strong in all subjects. So learn to play to your strengths. Attempt more questions in the segment in which you are strong. Because knowing your strong areas will help you work on it and it will help you in grabbing more marks to be in the qualified list.

5- Improving quick thinking ability:

Try solving one problem in many different ways. Try to master the shout cuts. It helps you cultivate a quick-thinking ability and as a result of which you can attempt more questions with accuracy in the exam. It will help you in getting more time for other parts to attempt.

6- Go for Mock Test:

A Mock test can help you to a great extent as it increases the idea in many areas such as Awareness of the Pattern, Recognition of Important Subjects, Performance Evaluation,  Improve Speed and Accuracy, Time Management, Better Chance to Score, & in Motivation.  Initially, your scores might be pathetic but do not get panic. Keep on practicing test series. The most important thing you must do after giving every test series is to analyze the question patterns and your performance, identify your strength and weakness.

7- Always use Short tricks:

Every question has a solution but we don't have to follow the lengthy process, always try to shout out the problem with simple tricks. The exam will consist of tricky questions that you need to answer rather quickly. You need to learn shortcuts and techniques in order to save time and improve speed and accuracy. Remember, smart and hard work go hand in hand.

8- Practice previous papers:

In order to gauge the difficulty level, type of questions asked and available options, it is necessary that students gather a thorough understanding of past papers. You should solve them within the stipulated time limit, and keep tracking your performance. You must quickly figure out your weaker areas so you can tackle them with greater efficiency.

Here are some important hacks on which the success of attempting the exam depends. Students should focus on these facts very carefully so that it becomes easier for them to score high and moving forward in their dream path.
