NDA 2021: Eligibility, Age, Physical Standards

The NDA eligibility criteria along with the notification are decided by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates willing to appear for NDA exams can apply for the same only if they fulfill the prescribed NDA Eligibility Criteria. Unmarried male candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination can apply for the exam as per the eligibility criteria of NDA. NDA eligibility criteria include nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and physical standards which candidates need to fulfill in order to be eligible for the exam.

The NDA 2021 eligibility criteria consist of four main aspects that are compulsory for candidates to fulfill. Those four main aspects of NDA eligibility are:

  • Nationality
  • Age Limit
  • Educational Qualification
  • Physical Standards

NDA 2021 Eligibility:

Candidates should make sure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria including age, nationality, educational qualification, physical standards before applying for the NDA 2021 Exam. So, let’s have a look at the eligibility criteria for NDA 2021 recruitment process:

Nationality

Candidates appearing for the NDA exam 2021 must have the following nationality to be eligible for the NDA examination as per the NDA 2021 notification:

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A refugee of Tibet who moved to India before January 1, 1962, with the motive of permanently settling in India.
  • Any person of Indian origin, who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, Sri Lanka, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), East African Countries of Kenya, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Vietnam, and Ethiopia with the motive of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the class 10+2 examination or appeared for the same who are thinking of appearing for the NDA 2021 examination. Candidates wanting to get into the Indian Army must be passed class 12th with no specific subject requirement but to get into the Indian Navy and Air Force candidates must be passed class 12th with mathematics and physics.

NDA Wings Qualification
For Indian Army Passed 12th standard from State Education Board or a University
For Air Force and Naval Passed 12th standard with Physics & Mathematics from State education board or a university


Age 

The required age limit of candidates should be as mentioned below.

  • Candidates should be born not earlier than 02 July 2001 and not later than 01 July 2004 for NDA 2021. 
  • The date of birth that is entered in Class 10 or 12 certificates will be accepted by the commission.
  • After the declaration of the result of the written exam, candidates need to submit these certificates.

Physical Standards

Candidates will have to go through the NDA physical standard test who have qualified for the SSB interview. According to the NDA prescribed physical standards, they will be physically and mentally tested. Before appearing for the NDA 2021 PST, candidates are suggested to get themselves medically examined, so that they don't face any disappointment later.
