Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University for admission into a 4-year engineering course. The cut-off for AEEE 2021 will be announced by the university after each counseling is complete. The result will offer admission into 4 Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham campuses located in Bengaluru, Amritapuri, Coimbatore, and Chennai.
The basic eligibility criteria for a student to apply for AEEE exam is to pass 10th and +2 with a minimum of 60% mark and physics, chemistry, and mathematics as a core subject.
The cut-off for AEEE will be released along with the result by the university. Candidates with the required qualifying mark will get admission into the different specialization of engineering, which will have a different cut-off. The cut-off will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks separately for each specialization and each campus.
Here we are going to discuss the factors that affect the cut-off.
1. Difficulty Level of The Exam
Every year the type of questions may vary from the previous year but keep the exam pattern intact. There may be few questions that will be repeated, but a change in the difficulty level will surely affect the cut-off. The difficulty level of the exam is indirectly proportional to the cut-off i.e. if the difficulty level is high then the cut-off will be less and if the difficulty level is less then the cut-off is high.
2. Number of Candidates Appearing in The Exam
The number of candidates that give the AEEE exam varies every year. More than fifty thousand candidates from all over the country give this exam every year. So this factor affects cut-off directly. If the number of candidates appearing this exam is subsequently higher, then the cut-off will also be high. Similarly, if the number of candidates appearing this exam is less, then cut-off is also less.

3. Seat Availability
There are currently 4 branches of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham present in the country. These campuses are located in Bengaluru, Amritapuri, Coimbatore, and Chennai. There is a total of 12000 seats combined in all the 4 campuses. So the number of candidates qualifying in the AEEE exam affect directly to the cut-off. If the qualifying candidate's number is higher in comparison to the total number of seats then the cut-off will be higher and vice-versa.
4. Previous Year Cut-Off
This factor hugely affects the cut-off for the AEEE exam. Normally the cut-off remains the same throughout the years unless and until there is any drastic change in the factors mentioned above. But the cut-off doesn't get altered so far from the cut-off in the last few years.
5. Reservation
Like every other university, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham also has a reservation system. Candidates belonging to General/OBC are unreserved category and have different and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD are reserved category have a different cut-off. Unreserved category students have higher cut-offs than reserved category.
AEEE 2021 exam will be conducted on April 23 - April 27 (tentatively). Candidates should start preparing early on to clear the cut-off and qualify for getting admission in any 4 campuses they want of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University.
