CDS Application Closes Today

The last date to register for the Combined Defense Services examination is the 19th of November, 2019, that is today. The exam which is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission of India will be held on the 2nd of February, 2020. Students can register for the exam till 6 o'clock in the evening of 19th November (1800 hours). Candidates are advised to apply as early as possible to get a center of their choice, as there will be a cap on the maximum number of candidates allowed in each center except for Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata, and Nagpur.

Steps for Registration:

1- Visit the official website of UPSC.

2- Click on the Examinations tab and click on the Active Examinations button, following which a list will be displayed. Select Combined Defense Services Examination (I), 2020.

3- The page that will be displayed next is shown in the picture above. Click on the Notice PDF, where the link to the website is mentioned where candidates have to apply.  Alternatively, one can directly visit this website and continue with the application.

4- Upon clicking on the link, the application page opens. It has been added below for reference.




5- Click on the first link that says 'ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC'.

6- Candidates will then be directed towards a page which has been inserted below for reference.




7- Click on the link which says 'CLICK HERE FOR PART I'.

8- This will direct the candidate to a page titled 'Important Instructions to fill Online Application Form'.

9- Go through the instruction carefully. Upon reaching the end of the page, there will be a button that says Yes for the question 'Have You Read & Understood all 'Important Instructions and Detailed Instructions'. If the candidate clicks on that button, he or she will be directed towards the application page.




10- After completion of Part I registration a Registration ID will be generated, which can be used to continue with the Part II registration process.
