Govt Launches National Test Abhyaas App For JEE, NEET Preparation

21May,2020

To ease the preparation for candidates Union human resource development minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has launched an app named ‘National Test Abhyaas’ that will provide free mock tests to the JEE and NEET aspirants. As the students are unable to attend their coaching classes due to the coronavirus lockdown, this mobile app will help the students to prepare for their examinations.

The JEE and NEET exams were postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and subsequent nationwide lockdown. The app has been launched in an effort for students to prepare for these highly competitive tests, which have since been rescheduled.

JEE-Mains exam will be held from 18 to 23 July, while NEET 2020 will be conducted on 26 July.

While launching the mobile app ‘National Test Abhyas' the HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, said, “This timely launch is designed to ensure that no student is left behind in getting exposure to practice testing, especially when student’s loss due to closure of educational institutions is to be compensated and NTA’s Test-Practice Centers are shut due to the Covid-19 lockdown."

The HRD minister said students across the country can use the app to access high quality tests, free of cost, in a bid to be fully prepared for the upcoming JEE, NEET and other competitive exams.

The HRD minister was receiving a lot of requests from students regarding their concern over the preparation of exams. He asked the national testing agency (NTA) to develop an app for the convenience of aspirants.

In view of the hardships faced by students due to COVID-19, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has re-opened the application form of JEE Main 2020 (Joint Entrance Examination) on 19 May. Candidates can freshly apply for the exam till 24 May 2020 and  National Testing Agency (NTA) has re-opened NEET 2020 application form correction window on May 15th 2020 for making corrections in the particulars in the Online Application Form
