The GATE 2020 exam for Civil paper has been successfully conducted across the nation in the forenoon session (9:30 AM-12:30 PM) and afternoon session (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.The fourth day for GATE 2020 exam.According to the students who attempted the Civil Engineering paper of GATE 2020, the paper was easy to moderate in difficulty level.
IIT Delhi (Indian Institute of Technology) will release the official GATE Answer Key 2020 for all 25 papers subject-wise tentatively in the 3rd week of Feb 2020. Also, IIT Delhi will also release the question papers and response sheet along with the GATE 2020 Answer Key.
Highlights of GATE CE Forenoon and Afternoon Session
1- Timings: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
2- Difficulty level- Easy to Moderate
3- Geotech Engineering carried the maximum weightage of 15 marks
4- Environmental Engineering carried 14 marks.
5- 25 questions out of total were numerically based
6- Paper was easier than last year.

Detailed Civil Paper Analysis:
Most of the questions were based on the concept of previous years' questions. The cutoff marks could be in between 25 to 30 marks. The aptitude section was of moderate level. Numerical questions were more compared to the theoratical questions, which made the paper a little lenghty. One marks questions were easier than the two marks questions.
There were 25+ numerical answer type questions.
1- Geo Tech and Environment questions were more in number.
2- Questions of Mathematics were easy.
3- From Transportation, four questions were of one mark and two questions were of two marks.
4- In Fluid Mechanics, five questions were of one mark and two questions were of two marks.
5- One question of one mark from Irrigation.
6- From SOM, two questions were of one mark and two questions were of two marks.
7- Two questions were from Surveying of two marks.
8- One question of one mark from Hydrology.
9- From Geotech, one question was of one mark and seven questions were of two marks.
10- One question was from Steel Structure of two marks.
11- From RCC, one question were of one mark and two questions were of two marks.
12- Two questions were from Building Material of two marks
GATE 2020 Exam Over Today, What Next?
Now that the exam will be done with today, what to expect next. Well, the aspirants have to look out for GATE 2020 official answer key, question paper, and response sheet to be uploaded by IIT Delhi. On the official website of GATE 2020, gate.iitd.ac.in, the candidates will be able to get all the updates.
The response sheet will be available under the logon of the candidates on GOAPS, to access them candidates have to use their enrollment number and password. Question paper and answer key will be available in PDF format and will be available for challenge.
GATE 2020 Result:
The GATE result 2020 will be available under the login of the candidates in the form of a scorecard. candidates can check their score out of 100, AIR in the respective paper and the GATE score on it with other details too. The score of GATE will remain valid for 3 years and can be used for PSU recruitments too.
