Preparation Tips for JEST 2021

For the candidates who are preparing for the upcoming Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST), it can indeed be a daunting task. However, if you want to achieve success in this exam, then you need to prepare beforehand. Once you become aware about how to prepare for the entrance test, it will become very easy to study and prepare for the exam. 

JEST exam will be conducted on 11th April and this is an entrance exam for those students who want to pursue PhD courses in the top colleges in India that accepts the scores in JEST. If you will be sitting for the JEST exam, read these tips to come out with great marks in the exam.

 

Focus on Key Concepts

To succeed in this exam, one needs to have a good clarity in the different topics. The syllabus is huge and hence it is better to clear the basic concepts. Focus on understanding the key concepts and then practise the questions. If you are well prepared with the concepts, you will be able to remember them for a long time period.

Practice Regularly

One needs to practice consistently if they want to score well in this entrance exam. Practice different types of questions and this will help you to understand the type of questions that you might face. This will increase your confidence levels considerably.

Solve Sample papers and question papers from Previous Years

You must not only solve the sample papers but also the question papers from the previous year’s exam. In this way, you will know which topics are important and the number of questions asked from different topics. This will give you a chance to look at the loopholes in your preparation for the exam. When you practice regularly, you develop the habit of reading questions and understanding them carefully. This helps you to solve them in limited time. 

First Attempt the Known Questions

When you are giving this entrance exam, always attempt those questions that you are confident about. Take a look at the question paper and spot those questions that you are confident about. Solve them beforehand as this will be easy to solve. This is a good way to approach an entrance exam and score good marks.

Be Positive About Your Exam Preparation

When preparing for the entrance exam, leave time for revising the subject. Revision is very confident during the preparation for the entrance test. Once you have covered a topic, take time to revise it and then begin the preparation for the next topic. 

Remain free from Stress

Stress can hamper your health and also the performance at the entrance exam considerably. Do not pressurize yourself with too much information before the test. This will increase your anxiety and you will panic before the test. Before the exam, meditate if possible and calm yourself. This will increase your level of confidence.
