The CAT exam in 2021 will be held on 28th November, 2021. A few months are left before the candidates sit for the exam. The exam is conducted for enrolling students to IIMs and other renowned business schools in the country. One needs to have a well planned approach to crack the most prestigious MBA entrance exam.

Understanding exam pattern and syllabus

One needs to be aware of the sections and the components of the CAT exam pattern so that they can prepare accordingly. One needs to know on which topics, questions are asked in the exam so that they can perform well. Without proper knowledge about the syllabus, you will not be able to study properly.

According to the new CAT exam patter, the paper will have three parts and 100 questions in total.

Preparation without coaching

You can prepare for the CAT 2021 exam even without coaching. However, this depends on the skills of the student, the time available and on what areas you wish to improve yourself. To prepare yourself for the exam, you need to have the right books to prepare for the exam along with the appropriate study materials. One can check the study materials available online, chat with the online CAT preparation facility, and take the CAT mock exam. One need to improve their speed and accuracy levels to excel in this exam. So one needs to take mock tests to understand their strengths and weaknesses before the exam.

Preparation with coaching

With CAT coaching, you will get guidance to overcome your weakness and develop your strengths. Since CAT has limited guidance regarding the syllabus, attending a coaching is helpful to gain insight about the exam and approach the syllabus in a structured manner. The experienced faculty will be able to clear your doubts and conduct tests so as to help you overcome your weakness in different areas.

Take mock tests to check your CAT preparation level

One can check their preparation for the exam by taking mock tests at regular intervals. You need to be aware of the weak areas so that you can pay attention and improve those areas. This will prepare you well to sit for the three hours during the exam and also help you to understand your preparation level well. By taking the tests regularly, you will be able to understand the time you need to allot to each section in the exam. This will help you to overcome the exam day anxiety.

Make a time table

One must make a time table based on which they will be preparing for the exam. This will help you to allot time for each section and also keep time for revision purposes. Divide the time for theory, for taking mock tests, for doing revisions. One must complete the preparation fifteen days before the exam. It is better not to start anything new during this time. Instead one must focus on revision.

CAT 2021 exam preparation must be done in a smart way to achieve success. One of the best methods you can apply is to know the strengths and weaknesses in the different sections and working on them. This will help you to crack the exam and get a high score.
