Telangana State Law Common Entrance Examination or TS LAWCET is a state level examination for pursuing law is conducted on an online mode.  TS LAWCET is structured to provide admission to UG law courses of 3 years and 5 years. It is conducted on behalf of TSCHE by Osmania University, Hyderabad every year. TS PGLCET preparation tips with exam pattern details, syllabus, and books will be discussed here. 

Tips to prepare for TS PGLCET examination:

Download and practice the previous year’s question paper

TS PGLCET 2020 previous year paper gets published by the department of TSCHE. Applicants can visit the official website and download the previous question paper and answer key to practice better. The previous year’s question paper will help candidates help and understand the exam pattern better. It will help the candidates to be less worried and know exactly what the exam procedures are and get familiar with it.

Collect sufficient materials for preparation

The candidates are advised to always try to gather good study materials. To go for best-published books by the best authors will help in providing the analysis with the good content. Go only for the approved official syllabus and the books that contain the exact syllabus and the relevant topics.

Preparation time

Next, candidates have to plan a correct time schedule for studying. Allocate time according to the subject's level of difficulty. Do not miss any subject from your time table for review. 

Always know the complete syllabus and prepare accordingly

So candidates should know the syllabus recommended by the official authority before beginning the preparation. 10 + 2 syllabi will be required for 5 years, and the degree level subjects will be required for a 3-years course in law. Research official syllabus only, do not go for any additional subjects.

Follow the exam pattern: 

Candidates need to learn the written test format for the TS PGLCET exam. It is very important to know how many questions and types of questions will be asked in the exam. The examination pattern will also notify the candidates about marking schemes (including negative marking), examination style, date of the paper, etc. So candidates are advised to go through the TS PGLCET’s exam template. The question paper will also cover the GK and current affairs topic, so you need to focus on these sections as well.

Revise well before the exam

Once the complete syllabus is covered in one go, the candidates then need to plan the revision process. Schedule hours in a day to study individually for each subject. Support revision notes and build techniques to keep them in mind for a longer period. It is advisable to appear for mock tests and question papers in the remaining days only to refine and refresh preparation for the examination.

TS PGLCET - Jurisprudence: Rights and Duties – Ownership and Possession, Schools of Jurisprudence – Sources of Law, Custom Precedent and Legislation, Property, Liability, Persons, Obligation, Legal Sanctions.
TS PGLCET - Constitutional Law: Directive Principles of State Policy, Executive Judiciary, and Legislature, Nature of the constitution: Fundamental Rights, Centre-State Relations, Emergency provisions, Amendments to the constitution.
TS PGLCET – Public International Law: Subjects of International Law, International Law, Municipal Law, Nationality and Statelessness, State Territory, Air, Sea and outer space, Extradition, Asylum, State Jurisdiction, United Nations.
TS PGLCET – Other Subjects: Mercantile Law: General Principles of Contract (Sections 1-75, Indian Contract Act-1872).
