TeerthankerMahaveer University (TMU) is a Private University located in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. This university was established in the year 2008 and then got approved by the UGC and many other recognized bodies. Spreading over the vast campus of 140 acres, the university is projected to be an internationally recognized premier institution of excellence, providing quality education, research, and consultancy services to the globe.
The university offers various programs of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research level under several specializations. The final selection list of University Admissions is held basing on the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examinations or based on the marks secured in the entrance examination conducted by the university i.e. TRAT or other entrance exams like JEE Main, UPSEE, NEET, CAT, CMAT, and MAT.

Quick Facts AboutTMU Admission Process:

TMU admission processes are done online through the official website of the University. Both Indian and international students are allowed to participate in the TMU admission process. 

UG Courses

  • For admission into the B. Tech courses, the candidate must have a valid JEE (MAIN) or UPSEE rank card and the selection will be done on the basis of the ranks.
  • B. Arch admission process is based on the score secured by the candidate at NATA/ JEE (Main)/ SET.
  • A valid score card in NEET-UG is required to take part in the BDS admission process.
  • Admission to other UG programs is done on basis of the merit list of the candidates.

PG Courses 

  • For getting a seat under various PG courses a valid score in NEET MDS is required.
  • MD and MS admission selections are based on NEET PG ranks.
  • M. Tech admissions are done on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the GATE exam.
  • For Ph.D. admission, the candidate must qualify the TMU Research Aptitude Test (TRAT) and the selection list will be according to the marks secured in TRAT.

Diploma 47,900 (1st Year Fees) 10+2
B.Optom 82,900 (1st Year Fees) 10+2

 

Infrastructure &Facilities at TMU:

Library:

The central library of TMU was established in the year of 2008. It is situated on the fifth floor of the Medical College & Research Centre and it is spread over a 2560 square meter area along with the Central Library. University offers a well-stocked separate library for both students and faculties. This library preserves more than one lakh books on several subjects and also has a subscription to print versions of 396 national as well as international journals. The TMU library has a subscription to the ClinicalKey, DELNET,maupatra, and EBSCOhostdatabase which provide access to the full version of its text research articles and sector-specific reports of different disciplines.

Cafeteria:

Each college under the TMU has a hygienic and well-maintained canteen along with Talk-of-the-Town and VIP Pizza Restaurant providing the students delicious Indian, Chinese and Italian dishes. These spots have become another essential center of learning beyond the classrooms and libraries. 

Hostel:

The University has five hostels on its campus that include twoboys’hostels and three girls’hostels with a capacity to accommodate a total of 4600 students.The hostel rooms are spacious, clean,and well maintained contemporary one with attached bathrooms. To provide all the comfort to the young minds to focus on their studies, each room is provided with beds, study tables, wardrobes, chairs, and an air-cooler. Solar heaters are also available in all the hostels for the hot water supply along with electricity conservation. Round the clock power back-up is also available to make students study without any interruption. There is a visitors' room in every hostel which is a large spacious room with suitable seating arrangements, where students can attend to their visitors comfortably.

In every hostel, there is a common room with a large screen television, several seating arrangements, some equipment for indoor games along with some newspapers and magazines. Hostel boarders can avail Laundry with commercial washing machine and the tumbler drier. A well-trained team of wardens and caretakers stays in there to help and resolve the problems of the boarders. 

Sports Complex:    

The University has its own Cricket stadium and pavilion Par Excellence which has hosted prestigious tournaments like Ranaji Trophy and Cooch Behar Tournament. There is a football field too in the TMU campus where the eighteen teams participated in Inter-Region Football Championship, dreaming to win the prestigious Santosh Trophy. 

There are also some other facilities for various games like kho-kho, hockey,kabaddi, etc. Sports facilities for track racers and field athletics are also available at the University. These tracks are used for daily training as well as for various regional or local competitions. There is a standard track of 400m used for athletics.

Besides these, there are some other reservations and grounds like Basketball Court, Football Ground, Tennis Court, Martial Arts, Volleyball, etc.

Labs:

Available facilities: 

TMU has very well maintained and well-equipped labs where students gain practical knowledge applying the theoretical lessons they acquire from the lectures. It has the best Computer Lab, Language Lab, and Communication Lab with the most contemporary instruments.
