Central University of South Bihar to Add Seven New Courses, Know More

Central University of South Bihar to add seven new courses for the academic year 2020-2021.The new courses are M.P. Ed (Master of Physical Education, Geography, Geology, M. Pharma (Pharmaceuticals) and M. Pharma (Pharmacology). PhD courses are being introduced in Commerce and History. The Central University of South Bihar is providing 45 UG, PG and PHD courses and this seven will be add from this year.




Central University of South Bihar established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009) as Central University of Bihar (CUB) and the name since changed by the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014 to Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is an institution of higher learning in the state of Bihar. With the motto, i.e. ‘Collective Reasoning’ the University has been conducting its academic and administrative activities from temporary premises in Patna and Gaya and looking forward to shifting to the permanent campus on a 300 acre plot of land at Panchanpur (near Gaya town).

According to the UNiversity PRO Mudassir Alam, The university was earlier conducting 45 courses( 3 UG courses, 22 PG courses and 20 PHD programs). from this academic session 2020-21 the university will be conducting 52 programs including 22 PhD level programs.

As per the information provided by the PRO, the university has invited application for admission for altogether 1777 seats at the UG, PG and PhD level. Whereas 276 seats are available at the UG level, the number of seats at the PG and PhD levels have been put at 1171 and 330 respectively.

The PhD programs for which applications have been invited include Bio Technology, Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Education, Physics, Clinical Psychology, Sociology and Economics.
