As the Supreme Court dismisses the plea of the students along with their parents. The JEE Main 2020 will not be postponed anymore. Accordingly, the exam will be held on the 6th of August 2020.
The supreme court states that the further postponement of JEE Main and NEET exam will bring the student's life into danger. Many suggestions have been given by lawyer Alakh Alok Srivastava, solicitor general Tushar Mehta.
Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava says that vaccine will be coming soon so the exam should not be cancelled for postponed for some time.
Justice Arun Mishra says that if exam were not held it won't bring the country a loss but students will lose an academic year.
Solicitor general Tushar Mehta says that NTA should conduct the examination but with proper guidelines and precautions.
The Student's Plea
The students made a plea that conducting the JEE Main and NEET Exam in this pandemic situations nothing but bringing down the life of lakhs and lakhs of students and parents into danger. To that, they added that the exam should be withheld until everything gets normal (indefinite period of time). The plea also stated to increase the number of centres for JEE Main and NEET so that the distance maintaining process can be maintained well.
