Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is a premier medical institute of India acknowledged as a centre of excellence for education and research. Courses:
The AFMC offers UG, PG and PG Diploma in medical and nursing. AFMC Pune also offers training in Super- Specialty and Para Medical fields which are specifically reserved for in-service candidates only.
MBBS Course:
The duration of MBBS course is four and half year followed by an internship of one year.

AFMC MBBS Eligibility Criteria:
1. A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently setting in India.
2. The candidate must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.
3. Should be medically fit as per the prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence.
4. Must have attained the age of 17 years on 31 December of the year of the application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date.
5. Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary/10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
6. Candidate must have secured 60% marks and above in aggregate in Class XII.
7. Candidate must have passed Mathematics exam in Class X.
Admission Procedure:
1. While applying for NEET tick on the option ‘apply for participating university'
2. After the arrival of NEET hall ticket, go to AFMC site and register and fill in your NEET roll no.
3. Crack NEET with 490+ marks (in case of boys) or 540+ marks (in case of girls).
4. You'd be called for an interview by AFMC
5. Give TOELR exams (80 marks — 40 questions; 2 marks per question, 1/2 negative marks for the wrong answer)
6. Psychometric test — CBT based test; there are no right answers, only your answers are asked (be honest while answering, interviewers might ask you in an interview regarding the test)
7. Finally there is Interview, which consists of 50, marks. At least 5–7 officers are sitting in front of you, they experienced with all kinds of people so you better not lie or you'd be rejected.
8. Final merit is calculated on the base of {(NEET + TOELR)/4 + Interview} marks. Additional marks are given for NCC quota, army quota (8 marks if you are a child of an officer and 16 marks if you are a child of jawan or airmen).
9. Separate merit list of boys and girls are prepared.
10. The students from merit lists are called for strict medical examination
11. After medical examinations if you are declared as fit, you are selected.
