NTA IIFT 2021 is a national level entrance examination that is organized by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. This is a popular MBA entrance exam and is second in popularity after CAT (Common Aptitude Test). The exam is conducted for admitting students to MBA (IB) at Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada campus.

IIFT 2021 Preparation
The IIFT exam paper is extremely unpredictable. It is better to look at the question papers of the previous years to get an understanding of the type of questions asked. This will help to make better preparation plans to crack IIFT 2021.
Be familiar with the syllabus
It is very important that you know the syllabus of the exam in details. This includes the topics, sub-topics and the percentage of marks in each section. According to the syllabus, you can prepare the time table for studying.
IIFT 2021 will consist of four sections namely quantitative aptitude, verbal ability and reading comprehension, general awareness and logical reasoning and data interpretation. The total number of questions and the marking pattern may change from year to year. So before beginning the preparations, make sure you have checked the exam pattern of IIFT.
Time management
The time to tackle IIFT 2021 is to manage the time efficiently. Make a daily planner so that you can keep a schedule of the daily activities. This will allow you to spend time properly on the different theoretical portions and help you to prepare well for IIFT. If you know the basics, then you can also attempt the sectional quizzes. Begin the preparation early so that you can overcome the weaknesses and assess yourself in a better way.
Marks per minute approach
The mark per question will be different for the different sections. One will have to attempt the questions in such a way so that you can score the maximum. Marks per minute are actually more important than marks per question. One must follow this strategy while attempting this exam.
Take regular mock tests
Taking mock tests regularly will be very helpful for your IIFT preparation. The candidates will be able to understand their weaknesses, develop better approaches to solve questions in lesser time and also understand new tricks to solve the questions. This is important as IIFT is a speed based exam. Another advantage of taking the mock test is that you know which questions to attempt and which questions to leave.
Solving previous year question papers
The candidate who will be appearing for IIFT 2021 must solve mock question papers and sample questions of the previous years. This will enable one to gain knowledge about the question trends in IIFT.
Use flash cards to extend vocabulary
The verbal ability section of IIFT will test your vocabulary. So you can prepare flash cards that will have words and their meanings, along with two synonyms and antonyms. One must memorize ten sets of cards daily. One must also know the proper usage of these words in a sentence. Read newspapers, novels and this will be enough to tackle the verbal ability section.
Increase Reading Comprehension Skills
If you go through the IIFT question papers of the past few years, you will find four passages in English comprehension. These passages are lengthier than the ones given in MBA entrance exams. Hence one must practice all kinds of passages. Start with the short ones and gradually do the long passages. One must also learn the different tones of the passages like humorous, dogmatic, romantic, ironical, and nostalgic, and so on.
General Awareness must be attempted last
The general awareness section must be attempted at the last as it takes very less time. One must increase their knowledge on business economy news. For this purpose, read newspapers, watch business news, and subscribe to monthly magazines. One can also read Manorama yearbook to enhance their general awareness.
Improve accuracy
One of the important aspects of IIFT is accuracy. If you are very sure of the answer, then mark the answer. The accuracy can only come when you have clarity in the concepts. The clarity will come by constant revisions, working on your weak areas and practicing the mock papers.
Breaks are important
To maintain the enthusiasm and the concentration levels, it is necessary for the candidates to take breaks from preparation. It is simply not a good idea to study for long hours at one time. Take small breaks in between your studies and this will help you from getting fatigued.
