NLU: AILET 2020 Exam Date Postponed, Registration Date Extended

Today National Law University Delhi (NLU-Delhi) has extended the registration process of the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020 till 30th June 2020. The conducting authority has also postponed the exam date till the month of August 2020. This has been done in response to the repeated requests sent by parents and students who are affected by the ongoing lockdown. Students should check their eligibility before applying for the entrance exam, otherwise, their registration will be canceled. Candidates can use the official website to register themselves or they can use the link given below

Steps to Apply

1. Go to the official website of AILET

2. Click on "AILET Admissions 2020"

3. Click on "Online Application Form"

4. Create a new account by providing necessary details

5. Fill the application form

6. Upload scanned images of photo and signature

7. Pay the application fee through debit card/ credit card/ net banking

Application Fee

1. General: Rs. 3050/-

2. SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities (PD): Rs. 1050/-

3. Below Poverty Line(BPL) applicants of SC/ST Category are exempted from application fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) (Five-Year Programme)

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination in any discipline with 50% marks. Students appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April 2017 can also apply.

Age: Applicants should be below 20 years while appearing the exam (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates). Class 12th appearing candidates are also allowed to apply for the exam. 

LL.M. (One year)

Eligibility: Aspirants should complete LL.B. or an equivalent degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). Candidates appearing in the final year exam of LL.B are also eligible to register for AILET 2018 exam. 

Ph.D. Programme

Applicants having an LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability) are eligible for the examination.

Important Note

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a university-level entrance exam for admission to B.A. LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D. programs. NLU Delhi is the organizing body of AILET. This is a national level exam which is conducted once a year for various law courses. The exam helps candidates get admission into various UG and PG law courses at National Law University, Delhi.
