GATE is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IICs and IITs on the behalf of the National Coordination Board. GATE offers candidates to get admission into M. Tech and M.Sc program in Engineering Technology and Architecture fields. Candidates can get into the various branches of Ph. D through this exam.

How to prepare after GATE:

Follow the official Syllabus:

The best way to attend the GATE exam is to cover its syllabus published by the conducting body on the official website of GATE. This year IIT Madras is going to conduct the GATE 2020 so they published the syllabus on the official website. The syllabus covers all the parts of the subject from which the questions are expected and it will help the students in cracking the exam successfully.

Understanding the Exam Pattern:

The first step towards the GATE preparation is understanding its exam pattern. Students must have knowledge about the number of questions, question type, which subjects possess how many questions, the difficulty level of the question paper, etc. For these students can go through the previous year question paper to collect some ideas about the design and pattern of the exam over the years.

Covering the previous year papers:

The previous year question paper can play the role of one of the most important guides in the preparation process for GATE. By practicing the previous year question paper one can grab a basic idea about the question pattern as well as the important subjects to focus on, the new ways of question delivery, difficulty level and the recent trend.

A proper study plan:

Before jumping into the preparation process, the candidate must have prepared a perfect study plan so that he/she can proceed through the plan which will help in cracking a high score in GATE. According to the study plan, each subject should get proper and individual time for practice. The difficult one must be given special time by the candidate. The study plan must include revising section so that the aspirant can go through all the subjects once again to remind all the previous practices. A proper study plan will help in covering the syllabus before time, strengthen the weak area & help in revising all the sections again.

Mock test is the resemblance of the particular exam paper. It will help in creating a basic idea about the pattern of question. The students must go for the mock test which will definitely help in achieving good scores as it helps in maintaining the time management, discover the difficulties and important areas so that the candidate can work on them and heal the lacks before the exam

What Documents to Keep Handy:

1- GATE Admit Card-Take a clear printout of your admit card where the photo and signature are clearly visible.

2- A valid ID Proof- You have to carry a valid ID to the exam centre mentioned in the criteria of GATE 2020.

3- A plan Calculator- plan calculator is allowed in the examination hall but not the digital online calculator is permissible.

4- Pens- take a blue or black pen with you. It's better to keep more than one pen.

Checking for Your Own GATE Exam Centre:
Students are advised to check their exam cetre before the date of examination. Its better for the students to know the exact position of the centre otherwise if you try to find your centre on exam date than it will create time problem,  you can not find the real position on time that leads to late.

Relaxation Should be a priority:

Tress can vanish all the hard works as we know. so taking too much pressure before the exam day can lead to an unsatisfied exam experience. So the candidates are advised to relax before one or two days of the exam and stop all the preparation process. Having a relaxed and positive attitude on the exam day will help in many ways to attend all the questions successfully.
