For those who seek advancement in a specific area beyond the completion of individual courses, Mangalore University offers Research Methodology Course for M.Phil/Ph.D/PDF Scholars in Social Sciences

10 Days Research Methodology Course for M.Phil/Ph.D/PDF Scholars in Social SciencesMarch 4th to 13th, 2020 Organised by Department of Human Consciousness and Yogic Sciences Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Karnataka Sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.


1- Participants registered for M.Phil. /Ph.D./PDF in UGC recognised university/ institutes of national importance 

2- ICSSR Research institutes in the different disciplines of Social Sciences are eligible for the participation in the workshop

Application Procedure:

Interested research scholars can apply for the course by sending the scan copy of the the application duly forwarded by the Head/Principal/Director of the parent institution via email ( by 5thJanuary 2020 and the hard copy of the same to the Course Director along with the following enclosures to be sent by post before 20th January 2020.

1-  Filled application form

2- A write up on Brief synopsis of the research topic and design in 1000 words

3-  Self-attested copy of the caste of ST/SC/OBC/Disability certificate if applicable

Important:  Applications without hard copy are not considered for the selection.

Intake Capacity :

The maximum intake capacity is Thirty (30) Participants from social science disciplines. Out of them 10 candidates are from Mangalore university area, 10 candidates from Karnataka and 10 candidates are selected from outside the Karnataka

Registration fees :

There is no registration fee for attending the workshop on Research Methodology Course.

Accommodation and travel Allowance :

1-  Accommodation will be provided for outstation participants.
2-  Tea and Lunch on all the ten days of the workshop 
3- Sleeper/second class train fare or regular bus fare of shortest routes for outstation candidates as per ICSSR. (Reimbursement to be made on the submission of the original tickets)
