NDA I: Notification Out. Check the Eligibility Criteria, Vacancy, and Syllabus

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting NDA I 2021 exam offering various posts like Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The UPSC has released a notification inviting applications for NDA I exam on the official website, @upsc.gov.in. UPSC NDA I 2021 Exam will be conducted on 18th April 2021 at selected Examination Centers across the country. The selected NDA I 2021 candidates will fill 400 NDA vacancies that have been released officially by the Union Public Service Commission.

NDA is the premier defense field exam. NDA I 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on 18th April 2021 by the Union Public Service Commission. The important dates regarding the NDA 2021 exam are listed below:

NDA I 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

The official notification of the NDA 1 2021 carries the eligibility criteria to apply for the various posts under this. All the candidates applying for the NDA I 2021 exam should fulfill all the eligibility criteria for admission through the NDA examination. The selection of the candidates will purely be based on satisfying the prescribed NDA eligibility conditions, failing to which will not be allowed to participate in the recruitment process.

The NDA I 2021 eligibility criteria are described under three different stages such as age limit criteria, educational qualification, and physical standards. 

Age Limit for NDA 1 2021

All the unmarried male candidates, who are born not earlier than 02nd July 2002 and not later than 1st July 2005 are eligible to apply online for NDA I 2021 exam.

NDA Course (Indian Army) 12th Class pass of the 10 + 2 School Education pattern or equivalent exam performed by the State Education Board or University.
NDA Course (Indian Navy & Indian Air Force) & 107th and 108th INAC Course 12th Pass of the 10 + 2 School Education pattern or equivalent to Physics and Mathematics by a State Education Board or a University.

NDA I 2021 Exam Pattern:

The candidates who are dreaming to serve the Nation can apply for the NDA I 2021 exam for the desired post. The last date to apply for the NDA I 2021 application form is 19th January 2021. Let’s get an overall idea about the NDA I 2021 exam pattern:

NDA I 2021 Syllabus:

Candidates will be appearing for a total of 600 marks in the NDA I 2021 exam.  Questions on physics, chemistry, science, history, geography & current events will carry approximately 25%, 15%, 10%, 20%, 20%, and 10% weightage respectively.

The detailed syllabus of the NDA I exam 2021 is given below:

Paper-1: Mathematics (300 Marks)

Quadratic equations with real coefficients. The solution of linear inequations of two variables by graphs. Conversion of a number in decimal system to binary system and vice-versa. 2 Matrices and Determinants Adjoint and inverse of a square matrix, Applications-Solution of a system of linear equations in two or three unknowns by Cramer’s rule and by Matrix Method. Types of matrices, operations on matrices. The determinant of a matrix, basic properties of determinants. 
3 Trigonometry Angles and their measures in degrees and radians. Trigonometrical ratios. Inverse trigonometric functions. Applications-Height and distance, properties of triangles. Trigonometric identities Sum and difference formulae. Multiple and Sub-multiple angles.
4 Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimensions Equation of a circle in standard and general form. Standard forms of parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola. Eccentricity and axis of a conic. The point in a three-dimensional space, distance between two points. Direction Cosines and direction ratios. Rectangular Cartesian Coordinate system. Distance formula. Equation of a line in various forms. The angle between two lines. The distance of a point from a line. Equation two points. Direction Cosines and direction ratios. Equation of a plane and a line in various forms. The angle between two lines and the angle between two planes. Equation of a sphere.
5 Differential Calculus Notion of limit, Standard limits—examples. Continuity of functions - examples, algebraic operations on continuous functions. Derivative of function at a point, geometrical and physical interpretation of a derivative-application. Concept of a real-valued function–domain, range, and graph of a function. Composite functions, one-to-one, onto, and inverse functions. Derivatives of sum, product, and quotient of functions, a derivative of a function with respect to another function, derivative of a composite function. Second-order derivatives. Increasing and decreasing functions. Application of derivatives in problems of maxima and minima
6 Integral Calculus and Differential Equations Evaluation of definite integrals—determination of areas of plane regions bounded by curves—applications. Integration as inverse of differentiation, integration by substitution and by parts, standard integrals involving algebraic expressions, trigonometric, exponential, and hyperbolic functions. 
  General and particular solution of differential equations, solution of the first order, and first-degree differential equations of various types—examples. Application in problems of growth and decay. Definition of order and degree of a differential equation, formation of a differential equation by examples.
7 Vector Algebra Vectors in two and three dimensions, magnitude, and direction of a vector. Vector product or cross product of two vectors. Applications—work done by a force and moment of a force and in geometrical problems. Unit and null vectors, the addition of vectors, scalar multiplication of a vector, scalar product or dot product of two vectors.
8 Statistics and Probability Statistics: Classification of data, Frequency distribution, cumulative frequency distribution - examples. Measures of Central tendency—Mean, median and mode. Variance and standard deviation determination and comparison. Correlation and regression. Graphical representation - Histogram, Pie Chart, frequency polygon—examples.
  Random variable as function on a sample space. Binomial distribution, examples of random experiments giving rise to Binominal distribution. Probability: Random experiment, outcomes and associated sample space, events, mutually exclusive and exhaustive events, impossible and certain events. Definition of probability—classical and statistical—examples. Elementary theorems on probability—simple problems. Union and Intersection of events. Complementary, elementary and composite events. Conditional probability, Bayes’ theorem—simple problems.
