Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Online Test 2020 is an MBA entrance test for admission to all the 15 Symbiosis Institutes affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune. SNAP 2020 will be conducted on December 15 via online. There have been some major changes in the exam pattern of SNAP 2020 which are mentioned below.

1. Total Questions

Previously, SNAP had total questions of 130 with 110 MCQs and 20 Non-MCQs. But this year the total number of questions has been changed to 110 with 105 MCQs and 5 Non-MCQs. But the duration is still the same as 120 minutes and the total mark is also the same as of 150.

2. Less section

Previously, SNAP had 4 sections of the syllabus for questions. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and General knowledge (GK) or Current Affairs. But this year, Gk or Current Affair section has been scrapped off from the syllabus. Candidates no longer need to acquire knowledge of Science, History, Geography, International organizations, Social issues, World Records, Books, and authors, Business, Punch line of companies, Sports, Finance, Top officials of big companies Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics, etc.

3. Reduction of Non-MCQ Questions

Earlier SNAP used to have 5 Non-MCQ question for each section due to which the total number of N0n-MCQ question was 20. But with erasing of the GK section the SNAP pattern has been reduced to a total of 5 Non-MCQ question. These 5 Non-MCQ question is present only in the Quantitative ability/ Data Interpretation section carrying 2 marks each.

4. Marking system

Previously SNAP exam awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. This year the marking system has been changed so that the Quantitative Ability will have +1 mark for each correct answer and Verbal Ability & Logical reasoning will have +1.5 mark for each correct answer. The negative marking pattern has been changed from deduction of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer relating to all types of questions to deduction of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer of MCQ question and 0.5 marks for each Non-MCQ question.
