IIT Guwahati students develop sprayer drones. A five-member group of students from the Indian Institute of Technology has been developed a drone with an automated sprayer. it can sanitize large areas like roads, parks, and footpaths. The drones have already approached the government of Assam and Uttra Khand to help them in the flight against COVID-19.
google maps help the drone select roads and areas to be sanitised it can be automated to perform the task within a signal range of 3km and spray two to four liters of disinfectant. A person will take a day and a half can easily the drone can do in 15 minutes.
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic program of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centers covering all the major engineering, science, and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and Ph.D. programmes.
