AIMA-UGAT How to prepare, Tips and Tricks, Best Books

All India Management Association’s Undergraduate Aptitude Test(AIMA-UGAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted for aspirants of Integrated MBA (IMBA), BHM, BBA, B.Com, BCA, etc. UGAT 2021 will be conducted in both computer-based as well as paper pencil based. Those who have completed their 10+2 exams in any stream and any recognised board are eligible for UGAT 2021. AIMA UGAT 2020 results will be declared on the official website, in the first week of June 2021.  After the declaration of the UGAT 2020 result, institutions accepting the UGAT score will release their cutoff. Those students who have cleared the cut off marks will be shortlisted for the further selection process. On the basis of the cut off marks, the merit list will be prepared.

How to prepare for AIMA-UGAT 2021 ?

Preparing for AIMA UGAT will need proper planning and good hold on important topics. Aspirants of AIMA UGAT 2021 needs to cover a wide range of different subject matter hence the preparation for these different subjects need more time and concentration. For a clear understanding, each subject needs equal attention and an equal amount of time. Candidates must start with knowing the details of the exam such as exam pattern and the syllabus. Complete knowledge of these details will help in qualifying the exam as this will enhance the preparation strategy. Mentioned below are a few points that can help candidates in their preparation for AIMA UGAT 2021.

Strategy: 

Once the candidates know the syllabus and the pattern for the exam, they need to strategize on how to proceed further for study. Candidates must have a good plan in order to have a good preparation for the exam. Thus, keep the details of the exam in mind while planning the strategy. 

Time Table:

Preparing a timetable is considered to be good practice for students. This helps in equal division time for each subject and topics. All important topics will be covered with a good time-table. Candidates can calculate their entire study time and then distribute them accordingly as per the requirement of each subject and topic.

Practice: 

For the aspirants of AIMA UGAT, practising more on subjects like Reasoning and Intelligence and Numerical and Data Analysis is advised. As these subjects require a clear and in-depth knowledge with good command over formulas and numerical representations.

Short Notes:

While studying candidates need to create short notes. Preparing short-notes is always advisable and is a proven method to conquer difficult topics by summarizing them into one-liner or two liners. These notes will help the candidates in the last minute preparation for AIMA UGAT. 

Sample Papers/Mock Test Papers/Previous Years’ Papers:

Once the candidate is done with studying, they need to prepare using the previous year question papers. Solving previous years’ question papers and mock test papers helps candidates in knowing the main exam paper in a better way. In order to practice well, candidates can also set the timer and check the time taken to complete the paper. This will help candidates keeping a track of their speed, which in return will help them to increase their speed and cover all questions within the allotted time.

Rivision: 

After completing the preparation, candidates must revise all the topics they have studied. Check the syllabus while revising, this will ensure that the candidates haven’t missed any topic while preparation. Use the short notes that were created while studying. 

Preparation Schedule: 

  • Study minimum two subjects everyday.
  • Give minimum 5-6 hours for your studies everyday.
  • Do at least one vocabulary/English and one reasoning exercise every day.
  • Maintain the preparation schedule for at least 2 months.

Highlights of AIMA UGAT 2021:

All the major highlights for AIMA UGAT 2021 entrance for all the subjects are listed below:

  • A total of 130 questions will be asked for  BBA, BCA and 180 for BHM program.
  • For IMBA, BBA, BCA etc, duration of exam will be 2 hours and for BHM, it is 3 hours.
  • AIMA UGAT entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • Two marks will be awarded to the candidates for each correct answer.
  • 0.5 Mark will be deducted in the total tally for each incorrect attempt.
