NID-DAT Last Minute Preparation Tips

NID DAT 2021 is a designing course conducted by the National Institute of Design. It is held to shortlist the candidates for the selection in various UG and PG courses in designing at various NID campuses. NID DAT 2021 Prelims Exam was held on 14th March 2021. The result is expected to be declared by the last week of March. Students can check the NID DAT results from their official site.

NID DAT 2021 exam pattern gives a broad idea about the question pattern, marking schemes, etc. The question paper has two sectional divisions; Section 1 and Section 2. Section 1 includes questions number 1-22, which are objective-type questions. Section 2 contains the subjective type questions which are from question number 23-26. All candidates interested in the NID DAT exam must be thorough about the whole syllabus. Getting admission in Designing course is a dream for all aspiring candidates. Preparation Tips for NID DAT:

  • Enhance your observation and sketching skills: NID DAT 2021 exams subjective type questions hold a total of 70 weightage in the question paper. Thus candidates are advised to practice sketching and other basic drawing designs as much as possible. Have distinct imagination and creativity skills.
  • Solve previous year's question paper: Candidates must practice as many sample papers as possible. This will help them understand the question pattern and the marking scheme. They might also be able to make a strategy on how they want to answer their question paper.
  • Stay updated about the current affairs: Most candidates think that NID DAT exams mostly include sketching. So practicing sketching will help them clear their exam, which is not true. Students need to stay updated about current affairs. Candidates should read daily newspapers to stay updated on prominent artists, who contributed to the design industry. 
  • Proper time management: Like any other exams candidates need to be well prepared for the NID exams also. They need to prepare a timetable and practice well their syllabus. As you have to complete the exam in the allotted time, don't waste too much time erasing and redrawing. Instead, draw the faint line and then finalize it when you are finished.

By following all these methods and practicing the syllabus well, students can be assured of cracking the NID DAT 2021. Just be stay focused, sincere, confident, and work as much as possible on your sketching skills.
