According to the statement given by HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, the New Education Policy is going to be implemented for this 21st-century students. He made an effort to bring g transformational reforms in school and higher education systems in the country. After the cabinet ministers approval, he briefed in the media to the New education Policy to that he added that he has received 2.25 lakh suggestions after the draft was placed in the public domain for consultations.
The policy brings the following things into consideration
- The policy Ensures the Universal Access at all levels of school education
- The NEP provides early Childhood Care & Education with new Curricular and Pedagogical Structure
- NEP promises to Attain Foundational Literacy and Numeracy
- Reformation to be brought in school curricula and pedagogy
- Multilingualism and the power of language to be implemented
- Reformation of Assessment
- Equitable and Inclusive Education
- Robust Teacher Recruitment and Career Path
- Proper Governance of School
- Standard-setting and Accreditation for School Education
