IIT Bombay has revised the GATE 2021 exam pattern for Production and Industrial Engineering. A new type of question has been added in GATE 2021 Production and Industrial Engineering. Mark distribution of this exam has been changed this year. Candidates have to know the GATE 2021 Exam pattern for Production and Industrial Engineering before taking preparation for GATE exam. Candidates can appear maximum two papers. Candidate’s can appear PI as 1st paper then they can appear GATE XI as 2nd paper.

1. GATE Exam for production and engineering includes 3 sections of Question MCQ (Multiple choice questions), MSQ (Multiple Select Question), and NAT (Numerical Answer Type)
- In MCQ there are 4 option of each question and choose any one of them
- In MSQ there are also 4 option of each question and choose one or more out of them
- In NAT It includes questions with a value or a real number as their answer.
- For 1 mark, 1/3mark will be deducted for wrong answer and for 2 marks 2/3 marks will be deducted for wrong answer for MCQ
- For MSQ and NAT there is no negative marking.
