Delhi University has closed its doors for their students and staffs till 31st March 2020 due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Students residing in the hostel have been told to vacate their rooms at the earliest. The staffs have been asked to work from home in the due course as a precautionary measure for the outbreak.
The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infections has risen above 200 including 4 deaths in the country. The World Health Organisation has declared a coronavirus pandemic. The Indian government has already directed all its 51,000 colleges and universities to avoid large gatherings in their campuses and carry out a massive sanitation exercise to guard against COVID-19, also referred to as novel coronavirus.
