The candidates who will be able to pass the entrance exam will be invited for participating in the counseling process. The Reservation in NEET will be applicable to the 15 percent seats offered in the All India Quota. For the remaining 85 percent quota seats for each state, the respective states have their own NEET Reservation Criteria. This will be applied during the counseling held in the individual states. All the seats offered to the candidates are for central Universities and private colleges in India which are under NEET 2021 reservation policy. The NEET reservation policy has been introduced so as to bring the disadvantaged people at an equal level with the others.

15 percent seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste candidates while 7.5 percent have been kept reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates. 27 percent of the seats are for OBC candidates.

EWS Quota

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare introduced an EWS quota in NEET-UG admission for those candidates who are from financially backward families. Those candidates must not be covered beforehand by any reservation scheme and the gross family income must not exceed eight lakhs yearly.

The EWS reservation will be offered in the different central universities in India.
