JEE-MAIN 2020 and NEET 2020 Exam dates have been postponed again today. HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced in a tweet. JEE-MAIN 2020 is scheduled to be conducted from September 1-6 while NEET 2020 on September 13. And JEE-Advanced is to be held on September 27.
Keeping in mind the safety of students and to ensure quality education the exams have been postponed, Ramesh Pokhriyal mentioned.
As the cases of Covid-19 is increasing day-by-day in the nation, students are flooding with questions "Will NEET and JEE-MAIN will be postponed? " As the situation was getting worsen NTA was asked by HRD ministry to submit a report on the conduction of the Exams.
The students, as well as parents, are questioning and seeking NTA (National Testing Agency) to give clarity in the conduction of the JEE-MAIN 2020 which was scheduled from July 18-23 and NEET 2020 to be on July 26. Many people have started speculating the decision of the HRD Ministry and give their opinions and spreading false news of the postponement of Exams, which was not confirmed by the Officials. Students were requesting the government by signing petitions online and doing online twitter campaigns after the CBSE, ICSE and other state boards exam were canceled.
As per the reports, the parents of the respective students who have applied or registered for the concerned exams are writing to the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal to postpone the JEE-MAIN 2020 and NEET 2020 exam citing the situation of the nation due to the Covid-19 pandemic saying that it will have a direct impact on health and safety of the nation.
Due to the postponement of the JEE-MAIN 2020 and NEET 2020 exam, students can expect delays in their Admissions and classes for the first year. As the JEE-Main 2020 is postponed, students seeking admission into IITs will also postpone the dates of JEE-Advanced. The students who will clear JEE-MAIN 2020 will be eligible for JEE-Advanced to get into IITs.
There were also reported that around 4000+ students of JEE-MAIN and NEET from Gulf countries have gone to the supreme court seeking the postpone of NEET 2020 exam or setup of Exam center in Gulf.
As per the demand of many students regarding the correction in Candidates particular and Choice of Centre cities in their Application Forms of NEET-UG , the form correction facility will be reopened, in which the Candidate Particulars and Choice of Centre cities will be operational in the official Website i.e https://ntaneet.nic.in/ from 04/07/2020 to 15/07/2020. In between the time the candidates are advised to do the necessary changes required and verify wherever needed.
NOTE: Correction of the particulars in the Application forms will be accepted up to 5 pm and submission of fee upto 11.50 pm.
