JIPMER is a national level entrance exam for the admission to UG medical MBBS courses at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER). JIPMER entrance allows the students to compete for available 200 seats. However, NEET result doesn’t applicable to JIPMER. The entrance exam is conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry itself.

How To Apply For JIPMER MBBS 2020 Online?

  • Under the Examination section, find & click on the 'JIPMER MBBS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2020' link.
  • Go to the link citing "Registration Form"
  • Register on the website by providing all the required information
  • After successful registration, the unique ID & password will be sent to the registered mobile no & email
  • Log in to the website using the respective credentials and fill up the rest of the form
  • After successful submission of the application form, download & take a print out of the confirmation page
The payments for the entrance exam can be done via Online Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card. The candidates need to make sure to make the payment before submitting the application form.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Counselling:

The counselling session for JIPMER MBBS 2020 will be the final step in the admission procedure. Those candidates who have successfully secured the same or more than the cut off score are eligible for the counselling session. The counselling session for JIPMER MBBS 2019 will be conducted in 3 rounds. The candidates need to register themselves for the counselling session and also have to do the Biometric Verification. The candidates need to take their original documents for the document verification process.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Result:

The result for the JIPMER MBBS 2020 is expected to be declared on the 21st of June. The candidates will be able to check their result by visiting the official website of JIPMER. The merit list for the entrance exam will also be released along with the result. The merit list will be released as per the category wise as well as overall. The numerical score will be converted into percentile form for the determination of cut off and preparing the shortlist of the candidates. Note that, the candidates will not be given the chance to appeal for a re-evaluation / re-checking.

  • The candidate must be 17 years of age on or before 31st Dec 2019 or Born on or before 1st January 2002
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination with compulsory subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, English Language (Core or Elective) obtaining Aggregate Score Minimum 50%.
  • For ST, SC, OBC and OPH Minimum Aggregate Score need to be 40% and for General OPH Category Minimum Aggregate Score is 45%.
  • The candidate has to be an Indian Citizen or Non-Resident Indian.
