First 2-3 months should be dedicated in understanding the fundamentals of all the chapters and brushing your skills. A strong grip on the fundamentals builds your foundation for that particular chapter without which you will not be able to solve the intermediate and advanced level questions. After you are done with the basics, you should move to higher level of questions for the next few months.
3. Mock Tests and Practicing
Practice makes a man perfect and mock tests are the right way to practice. The mock tests are designed as per the original exam which helps you in understanding your preparation. It is advisable for the students to keep appearing mock tests once or twice in a week when they are done with the fundamentals. These tests help you to understand your strength and weak areas in the examination so that you are able to focus more and improvise to score the maximum in the examination. Mock tests also keeps a check on your speed and makes you aware how many questions you attempt correctly within the given time period. Analyzing a mock test is way more important than just giving a mock.
4. Making Notes and Revision
Notes are the perfect way to remember and revise the chapters so that you do not waste your time on going through a particular chapter entirely again. Revision is the key no matter which exam you are preparing for. You might have studied the topics long back, but memories fade with time. So without revision, the learning process is incomplete. Keep making like list of formulas, equations, strategy of solving a question and important points that are beneficial for the exam. Also make notes for the key learnings and unattempted questions in the mocks so that you are aware of your mistakes and improve yourself throughout the preparation.

6. Plan Your Exam-taking Strategy
Before appearing the exam, you should focus on making an exam taking strategy that suits you. It means how you are going to manage time while appearing in the exam. Candidate must practice regularly so that they will improve time management skills, problem-solving skills hence face no trouble while giving the exam and ace it. It is advisable to appear a particular section in the exam in 3 rounds i.e first answer the easiest questions which you feel you can crack it within few seconds, then the intermediate one and finally the toughest ones. This strategy saves time and you do not miss out any easy question and also gives you confidence.
