Cochin University of Science and Technology has announced that the CUSAT CAT 2020 Examination has been postponed . This has been done due to the widespread outbreak of Coronavirus and 21-days complete lockdown. As per the Schedule the CUSAT CAT 2020 Examination was to be conducted on 18th and 19th April 2020. The Conducting Authority of the examination have decided that the new revised exam dates will be announced later after the lockdown period is successfully completed. This action has been taken in the general interest of the candidates amid the epidemic of COVID-19. Earlier, the CUSAT CAT 2020 application form was released on 8th January 2020 in online mode and was concluded on 10th February 2020 (without late fee). While candidates were also given an option to submit their forms with a late fee till 15th February 2020. Conducting Authorities were to release the CUSAT CAT 2020 admit card on 27th March 2020 (Friday) but before this they have announced the postponement of the exam.

The widespread outbreak of coronavirus has led to postponement of various entrance exams like JEE Main, MHT CET and CUSAT CAT is also one of these. The authorities will now release the new dates for CUSAT CAT 2020 along with the new schedule after the end of the lockdown period and reviewing the then current situation. It can be assumed that the exam will now be shifted to May or further depending upon the circumstances prevailing.

Cochin University of Science & Technology conducts the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT). It offers admission in to various UG & PG courses into its three affiliated campuses two in Kochi, and one in Kuttanad. This entrance examination is a University level examination and it is conducted once every year. The different courses include Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management, Commerce and Computer applications. Students have to qualify the exam with minimum cutoff marks in order to be considered for admission. Allotment of seats are done through a centralised counselling on the basis of marks secured by candidates in CUSAT CAT. Interested students should at first check the Eligibility required for the examination, this is because if any candidate is found not eligible for the examination then the registration of the candidate will be cancelled and the registration amount will not be refunded.
