The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to acquire a new logo for the Commission from January 1, 2019, while the official website and other functions of the SSC will remain the same with the adoption of the new logo, the existing one of the commission, will be withdrawn, said the commission.
Note: As SSC is about to change the logo from the New Year, candidates or future aspirants looking for jobs under SSC should keep this in mind in order to protect themselves from fraud. And SSC’s Official notification, “All stakeholders have been informed and can take a good look at the new logo for future reference.”
New Logo Details:
- The new logo of SSC is a circle in red which has the Indian emblem with the Ashok Chakra and is surrounded by the olive branches.
- The current logo of SSC is a green coloured circle consisting of a human figure standing in the centre.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. The Estimates committee in the Parliament recommended the setting up of a Service Selection Commission in its 47th report (1967–68) for conducting examinations to recruit lower categories of posts. Later, in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, on 4 November 1975 Government of India constituted a commission called the Subordinate Service Commission. On 26 September 1977, Subordinate Services Commission was renamed as Staff Selection Commission.
