Practice makes a man perfect. Practice as much as you can from books or the internet. Mathematics is a very important part of the syllabus for the NDA exam. You need to be fast in calculations as you don’t want any single question takes too much time of yours. Similarly, for English, you need to read English newspapers, blogs, novels, books, etc. Also, keep practicing for writing too.

Be Updated

General Knowledge is a huge portion of the NDA exam. You need to be up to date with the entire current events that have happened at least in the past 5 years or so. You need to know all the major events that have happened in the country as well as outside of the country. For this, you have read the newspaper daily, watch news channels, watch interviews of famous personalities and political leaders, and keep track of all the major awards and prizes on a daily basis.

Study Material

Practicing sample papers and previous year questions can help you get clear on what type of question will be asked and the difficulty level. If you are lucky enough some questions may get repeated as well. Practicing sample questions will also sharpen your writing skills.

Avoid Wild Guessing

There is negative marking in the NDA exam. If you are not fully confident that the answer you got is 100% correct, then leave it unanswered. Blindly making wild guess can cost you marks from the correct answer section. So be smart and avoid unnecessary negative marks.

Fitness & Personality

Working in the NDA is about stamina, fitness, and personality. Even if you clear the written exam, you won’t be selected if you don’t have a good positive personality and a stable fitness and health. You must exercise regularly and have a proper diet to maintain your fitness. You can also try yoga to release stress.

Time Management

The most important tip for not only the NDA exam but to all the exams is probably time management. Time is not your ally during exams. So don’t waste the precious time awarded to you during the course of the exam and utilize it to the fullest. Always answer first those questions which you are strong in. they would save you some time and you may have sure marks in your hand from the first. Leave the difficult ones towards the last and only attempt if you are 100% sure to avoid negative marking.
