There should have knowledge about the latest news, such as the current position of the organisations, plans or steps being taken for developments in future, aims of the company, etc. Talking about the company helps a student in creating a better impression during the interviews. 

2. Know your Aptitude: 

The first step in the process of recruitment before interview is of the aptitude check. In this test, the companies check some of your skills. A company checks your communication skills as how is your way of interaction as nobody would be interested in hiring a dumb, over talkative or a rude person. A student’s skill of logical reasoning, knowledge about his/her domain, etc., is also tested. 
A student applying for placement should prepare himself/herself with the help of online sample tests to learn the basic skills of interactions. The equivalent goes for quantitative capability. Hirers would want to know whether you have importance of time and the capacity to act to the circumstance, and for this, they additionally check your logical reasoning. 
Each organization falls into a domain. You need to find out from their official websites. Some of them, for instance, are – electronics, Information & Technology (IT), Commerce, Science based, etc. Understanding the domain of working it would help you talk better with the interviewers and furthermore think better about the organization.

3. Group Discussion: 

One of the most important tests in the process of recruitment is of group discussion. In this discussion, a company tests your speaking skills, body language, leadership quality, and interactions with the panel group. 
For this group discussion, a student must keep themselves ready with the following criteria: 

  • Be updated with the current affairs. 
  • One should be polite and gentle with their opinions. 
  • Being professional and precise in terms of speaking skills. 
  • During group discussion one should keep in mind that the discussion should not be turned into a debate.

4. HR Interview:

The HR interview is the final and one of the toughest round as it decides one’s job confirmation with its desired organisation. There are some of vital things one should keep in mind before appearing for the HR interview.  
Firstly, one must prepare himself/herself with the research work about the organisation’s working patterns, its current positions and its upcoming future goals, etc. This researched information helps in building a healthy conversation during the interview as it creates an impression that the candidates have necessary information about the organisations they would be chosen for. 
Secondly, a candidate’s body language during the interview also plays a major role. One must be dressed professionally and should not move his/her hands or heads unnecessarily as it creates a wrong impression before the interviewer. 
Thirdly and one of the most important part is one’s speaking skills. One must be confident about what he/she is speaking and should not stammer in between the sentences. A candidate answers should be with logical reasoning and satisfying to the interviewers.
