The full-time, residential, one-year program is expected to cater to the experienced executives who will aspire for the top jobs into the large corporates.
“These leadership programs aim to the systematically nurture and shape the experienced minds into high potential leaders who are authentic, capable, multi-dimensional, and grounded in core values. The program will transcend conventional management instruction and the pedagogy to provide the focused learning,” Prof. Debashish Chatterjee, Director of IIM-K, said.
IIM-K said this program will involvement of an innovative admission process, a unique curriculum and the pedagogy which combines the diverse perspectives to provide the holistic inputs.
“While having put together just the most of the appropriate content into the curriculum, the highlight of the program would be the learning methods which would attempt to the bring out the true leadership potential of the candidates through the personalized and the reflective learning approaches. “ said Prof. Debashis Chatterjee.
The gap for the such an academic program is identified based on the fact that a large number of corporates have been demanding focused inputs for their high-potential, mid-level executives which prepare them to take up the leadership roles within the organization.
The chairperson of the new program, Prof. Venkataraman, said, “ Finding ready leadership talent has become the increasing difficulty. Large companies today expect their HR departments to play a strategic role in identifying high potential candidates within the organization early on and the groom them for the bigger roles towards developing a leadership pipeline. We would expect that this corporation committed to developing a leadership pipeline." The program is likely to combine the intensive in-class, inspiring the off-campus and also the immersive international components towards the holistic development of the participants. The deadline for the online submission of the applications on the Institute’s website is August 15, 2019, and the classes would also commence in November 2019.
