Osmania University (OU) has decided to grant affiliation to the private colleges under its supervision for the academic year 2020-21 without any survey. The same will be done based on academic information furnished by these colleges to the university. The authorities have taken this decision on account of the coronavirus pandemic.
The university has been running a total of 735 affiliated private colleges, including degree, law, engineering, pharmacy, MBA, MCA, and HM.
Every three years the inspection is done to the several private colleges and after that, the affiliation is granted to the selected courses. But this year the inspection or the survey is withheld due to the pandemic caused by the deadly virus thus following the rules of the government of maintaining social distancing.
The University will also be reducing the syllabus due to delayed admissions for the current academic session. It may be done only for the new students and not for the older ones.
