The Banaras Hindu University has postponed the entrance examinations conducted for the admissions to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in the university. According to the official notification, the BHU UET/ PET 2020 examinations supposed to be conducted from April 26 and 10, 2020 have been postponed due to the COVID-19 lockdown in the country.
The University has also postponed all the entrance tests to be held between April 26 to May 10, in order to control the spread of COVID 19 outbreak in the country. These entrance tests include school and university admission tests.
Besides, the SET 2020 entrance test scheduled between May 1 to 6 have also been postponed. Applicants are advised to visit the university's entrance test portal regularly for updates.
The entrance exams were earlier scheduled to be conducted in 202 cities across the country. The BHU received a around 5.25 lakh application forms for about 12,500 seats
he entrance test for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which were to be conducted on April 26 and May 10 for BPA, BFA, M.PEd, MCA, MFA, MPA, MA Linguistics and few M.Sc programmes have been cancelled, until further notice.
However, the dates for the rest of the UET/PETs to be conducted between May 18 to May 29 remain unchanged
The official notification also said “The fresh dates for the entrance tests scheduled on said days would be announced later. Applicants are advised to visit the university’s entrance test portal regularly for updates related to the conduct of entrance tests”.
