Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi is also known as IP University. The university offers both Bachelors and Masters Courses in 
Mass Communication. 

 

Mass coummincation Course details and Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication is a three years course offered to the students in the full-time mode. A student who has completed their class 12 examination from any board with 50 per cent marks is eligible to apply for the course. Master of Arts in Mass Communication is a two years course and is offered in the full-time mode to the students. A student who has graduated from any University with at least 50% marks is eligible for this course.

 

Admission process

The candidates who are interested in getting themselves admitted in this course under IP University must appear in the CET exam. The admissions of the candidate will be based on the rank that the candidate will get in the CET exam.

The exam is divided into different sections namely English language and comprehension, general awareness, reasoning and media aptitude. The test will be held in 15 cities in India. The students will be required to fill in the test city in the application form.

Admission process and Eligibility Criteria

For getting admitted in the BA Hons course at Delhi University, a student need not give any entrance examinations. The selection is done on the basis of a cut off released by a particular college. 

For the BA Hons in Multi-Media and Mass Communication, a student needs to appear for the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET).

Integrated five-year program of Journalism consists of Bachelor of Journalism and Master of Journalism awarded by Delhi University. For getting admission in this course, one needs to sit for the entrance examination conducted by Delhi University. The entrance test will mainly be conducted to test the candidate’s proficiency level in current affairs, analytical skills and general knowledge and comprehension skills. The entrance level examination is at par with the other competitive level exams held for the class 12 passed out students. Students who have scored more than 50 per cent in their class 12 examination can apply for the national common entrance examination.
