With a number of aspirants appearing for the online entrance exams of
Jawaharlal Nehru University, as on counts is over 1.16 lakh, commenced on Monday. This is initially the first time the varsity switched its mode of entrance exams to the computer-based mode which is scheduled to be
conducted by National Testing Agency across 122 cities of the nation.
The entrances exams which are :- Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examinations (JNUEE) and
- Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (CEEB) 2019, was conducted from Monday 27th May and will go further till May 30.
The entrance exams are scheduled to be conducted in the 142 programs of study, where each of the entrance examinations here are scheduled to be of eight shifts over the following for the next four days, where each day will have two shifts as morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and of the afternoon as (2:30 pm - 5:30 pm).
“Each center is installed with jammers, and as on count has been as a total of 1,400 jammers to be deployed. To oversee the examinations with the addition of the NTA Control Room and with the 122 city coordinators have been deployed by the NTA” the agency shared.
A total of the 1,16,558 candidates as 67,801 males, and a count of 48751 females and six transgenders - will be appearing for the examination.
