Since 1979 Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) which is located in Bangalore serves various academic courses under various subjects. Dayanand Sagar College is an approved and recognized institution by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It functions under the affiliation of the Visvesvaraya Technological University. Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is a private and autonomous college and the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust (MGVPT) is the governing organization of the college. It has got the approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) along with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and also awarded with the NAAC with Grade ‘A’. DSCE has got recognition from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) recently in 2020. The College offers undergraduate courses (BE, B. Arch), postgraduate courses (M. Tech, MBA, MCA) as well as research courses (Ph.D., M.Sc) courses in different subjects.

As you can see from the above table, at the UG level, DSCE offers four-year BE programs across 17 specializations. The college also offers two years of PG programs, M. Tech, in 13 different fields. All the PG programs are of two-year duration, consisting of four semesters. The college also provides 20 fields for research-oriented subjects.

B. Tech Candidate must have passed Class 12th from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/ Electronics/Computer Science as the compulsory subjects with a minimum of 45% in aggregate

A valid JEE (Main) rank card or any other qualifying exams

M. Tech The candidate must have passed BE/ B. Tech or any other equivalent examination from a recognized institution or university.
And
A valid GATE scorecard
Rs. 1.28 Lakhs
PhD The candidate must have completed his/her masters’ degree from a recognized institution or university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ ST candidates)
And
The candidate must clear the University Level Research Aptitude Test (ULRAT)
Rs. 1.45 Lakhs

  • The Central Library: Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has a well-equipped and well-furnished digital library that contains a huge collection of the latest books, journals, references along with numerous educational CDs, DVDs, etc.
  • Sports & Game: DSCE provides a vast scope in the field of sports and yoga for the students to improve their physical and mental health. Students take a healthy break from their busy academic schedules to make some use of these facilities.
  • Laboratories: The labs at DSCE, for each department, are available inside the college premises for the betterment of students to provide them practical knowledge along with some training. 
  • Arts and Cultural Activities: This provides a platform for the students who are interested in arts and dramatic fields to showcase their talent in the respective area like arts, music, dance, or any other cultural activity.

Previous Records About Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Placement:

The placement cell of DSCE coordinates with recruiting companies and helps students to get them hired by the companies. The placement cell handles the entire end-to-end placement process. The cell works closely with the final year students with their skills and the cell also helps students to improve their personality for the interview process. It also arranges many counseling or training programs to enhance the employability skills of the students. In addition to the placement cell, DSCE has also created a ‘Centre for Innovation & Leadership’ (CIL) in 2006 which keeps a communicative relationship between academics and corporate realities. It impacts so positively on the students’ innovative soft skills to enable each and every student to get placed in top companies.
