Time management

IIM Indore has decreased the time limit in each section of the test to 40 minutes. Hence, candidates will have to be speedy and accurate. When you are solving the mock papers at home, note down the time allotted for each question. If one question is taking a long time to solve, leave it and move on to the next question.

Practicing mock test papers

One mock test daily must be done by the candidate before sitting for the main exam. Solving the mock test papers will enable you to understand the level of competence of the student. They can also understand how they will have to deal with the questions on the day of the exam and also manage their stress levels accordingly.

Don’t start with a new topic

Do not start with a new topic during the last fifteen days before the main exam. This is considered a bad move on the part of the candidate. Instead of wasting time understanding a new topic, the candidate can revise the ones that they have already read till now. Stick to the topics that you have covered from the CAT syllabus.

Maintain accuracy

During the last lap before the exams, focus on attaining accuracy when you are attempting the questions. Revising each individual section for three hours regularly will help you to enhance the speed and accuracy. Since the time has been reduced this year, answering with speed and accuracy is very vital for the candidates. One must keep this in mind while preparing for the CAT exam 2020.

Consume healthy diet

Even if you want to get into the IIMs for your higher studies, one must never neglect their health. Consume a healthy diet on time. Keeping your body fit and healthy is also important as this will enable you to perform well on the main exam day. Consume nutritional food and eight hours of sound sleep is extremely important to keep your body and mind fit and active.

The declaration of CAT 2020 result will be on the second week of January, 2021.
Best of luck!!
